I’m organising a meet up of Instagrammers in Stratford upon Avon on 26th of June.
It will involve cake.
It started with a conversation on Twitter, as it often does.
It went something like:
“We should organise an Instagram meet up in the Midlands.”
“Yes, with cake!”
“Why don’t we call it Instacake?”
“Okay, I’ll organise it.”
Er, oh bugger, I’ve just agreed to organise a meeting of Instagrammers, and it has to involve cake.
But talking about it with a just few people, it’s growing! There are already Instagrammers booked to come as far afield as Bristol, Cambridge, Manchester and Brighton.
We are meeting on the 26th of June 2018 on the lovely, airy mezzanine floor of the Boston Tea Party cafe on Henley Street in Stratford upon Avon, within a gauntlet’s throw of the house Billy Shakespeare made his first wailing utterances.
“It’s a boy!”
“Hurrah, he can become a glove maker like his father!”
Only he didn’t.
Cake, that’s where we were at, cake.
Cake, and conversation, and casual photography, and more conversation, and actually meeting the people we often chat to on Instagram many times a week, but who are electronically ethereal.
And lunch. And more conversation et cetera, et cetera…
The tickets are £20 and include tea or coffee and cake (see, I told you) then a guided (or freeform) photographic tour of instagrammable bits of Stratford upon Avon, then back to Boston Tea Party for a slap up lunch.
And goody bags. We’re working on those. We have plans. Do let me know if you’d like to put something in our goody bags for our Instagrammers. Lovely things only.
Anyway. There we go.
You can buy tickets here.
And ask me questions here.
I’m off to ask my stepdaughter if I can have another slice of her birthday cake.
Cake is good.
Cake is life.
(Okay, I’m getting a bit carried away here. I’ll stop.)
